Alternative to Beaches

The majority of the hotels and resorts located in Oahu are in Waikiki. From luxurious ocean-view suites to typical 4-star hotels, you are sure to find a place here that suits your travel budget. Oahu offers a vibrant nightlife and best quality dining options. The KoOlina resort and marina area, with its seven lagoons, also offers lush condos and hotels after visiting attractions of the island. There is only one hotel in the North Shore region. However, the area has plenty of vacation homes, condominiums and backpacker hostels, with options to fit your budget. Don't feel like staying confined in a room. The island is full of houses of any kinds. You should simply get one and pick up necessary supplies at affordable rates from the stores in the area. Oahu rentals are vast and plentiful, ranging from private vacation rental homes, condos and villas to bed and breakfasts and hotel rooms at the different regions of the island. In Oahu, there are definitely accommodations to suit every taste. While staying in Waikiki, we tried the Food Pantry for a quick breakfast or lunch. We ordered rice, scrambled eggs, two strips of bacon and a sausage for breakfast and roasted chicken with rice for lunch. The food won't be an unpleasant attraction if the quality of it is excellent, and the prices are quite affordable. The other places are Boots & Limo’s, Germaine's Luau, Hanna Sushi, Matsumoto's Shaved Ice and some more. There are various means of transportation and we could explore the island successfully. We could rent a car, a motorcycle or a moped to do some exploring on your own. One day we decided to have a guide to ask more details about the island and we grabbed a cab. Limousines, cabs or some form of public transportation are always at our service. Though beautiful beaches are plentiful, the Oahu Island offers so much more attractions than just a quiet day in the sun. We were sunburned and full of impressions coming back home.
